FRIENDS-ONLY · CHICAGOLAND

A golf league
in spirit.

Scramble Golf League is a group of friends in Chicagoland who turned our golf outings into something worth remembering. We organize events, keep standings, track rounds and preserve the stories that would otherwise disappear into a group chat.

WHAT SGL ACTUALLY IS

Built for fun.
Kept for the memories.

SGL is not an official, sanctioned or public golf league. There are no memberships for sale, no open registration and no claim that our standings carry meaning outside our group.

It is a friends-only league database: part scorebook, part season archive and part excuse to make every round feel a little more important. The trophies, points and rivalries matter because they matter to us.

01

Events

Different formats, teams and side contests give each gathering its own identity. Results are preserved event by event.

02

Players

Profiles collect standings, appearances, teammates, results and selected individual rounds in one lasting record.

03

Seasons

Season pages connect the events into a timeline and make it easy to look back at how each year unfolded.

04

The Clubhouse

The private side helps the group see who wants to golf, form foursomes and plan casual rounds together.

2027

LOOKING AHEAD

Small league.
Bigger ideas.

There may be room for SGL to grow into something more structured in 2027. Those plans are still ideas, not promises. Until then, the goal is simple: keep improving the experience for the friends already playing, make each event memorable and build a better record with every round.

THE STRAIGHT ANSWERS

About the
league.

Is SGL an official or sanctioned golf league?

No. SGL is an independent group of friends who play golf together and keep our own records for fun. It is not affiliated with or sanctioned by a golf association, tour or governing body.

Can people register or apply to join?

Not currently. SGL is a friends-only group rather than an open-membership league, and the public website is primarily an archive of the golf we play together.

What does the website track?

The archive preserves event formats, teams, results, season points, player profiles and selected individual rounds. Historical information is only added when the group has a reliable record for it.

Could SGL become something more?

Possibly. There are ideas for growing the league in 2027 and beyond, but nothing public or formal has been announced. For now, SGL remains exactly what it started as: friends making golf more fun.
